Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

SJHS Charity Golf Classic

The 24th Annual "St. Joseph Health System Foundation Charity Golf Classic will be held Friday, June 22nd at Red Hawk Golf Course in East Tawas. Registration at 8:30am, shotgun start at 9:30am for the four person team scramble. 18 holes with cart, contests and raffles, breakfast, lunch and refreshments on the course, gifts, dinner and awards reception. Proceeds will support the purchase of a Neopuff for resuscitation of infants and an echocardiography probe. For more information call 362-0159.

Trinity Lutheran Church Women's Garage Sale

AuSable Valley Engine & Tractor Show

The AuSable Valley Engine & Tractor Club annual show is on June 22 and 23, 2018 (Friday & Saturday) at the lovely wooded Oscoda County Fairgrounds on Caldwell Road off of M33 between Mio and Fairview. Hours - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Featuring tractor & machine exhibits, gas engines & related machinery, tractor & kids games with prizes, flea market, swap meet, craft vendors, tractor pulling, and tractor parade. One free ticket to each child 2 to 7 for a peddle tractor to be given away each day. All farm equipment exhibitors, flea market, craft and swap meet vendors are welcome and it is N/C to set up or exhibit even for non-members. Rustic camping is available. Some sites with electric. Sunrise Side Lifelong Learning

The Wurtsmith Air Museum's 25th Anniversary of the Base Closure will be held:

-Friday, June 22nd-Museum will be open 11am-4pm and a World War II Encampment

-Saturday, June 23rd-11am-1pm Luncheon for Wurtsmith Veterans and spouses at the American Legion Hall on U.S. 23 followed by a presentation on Wurtsmith history. World War II encampment and Museum will be open 11am-4pm.
