Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Wurtsmith Fly-In & Pancake Breakfast

From 8:00AM to 3:00PM

Oscoda Rotary will serve breakfast from 8 AM - 11 AM, both Sat. & Sun. The museum will be open extended hours, 8 AM - 3 PM. Pilots and their passengers will be admitted free to the museum. Visitors purchasing an adult breakfast receive a discount. Planes park in back of the museum where guests may view them and take pictures. .

Tawas AYSO Golf Outing

The Tawas Area Youth Soccer Association Golf Outing Fundraiser will be held Saturday, August 11th at Tawas Creek Golf Course on Monument Road in Tawas City. Registration 8am, Shotgun start at 9am. cost is $50 per player for the 4-person team scramble. Cost includes light breakfast, hot dogs & kielbasa at the turn, smoked pork and turkey along with grilled shrimp dinner. Plus gifts and raffles. Heritage Days & Logging Expo

Heritage Days and Logging Expo will take place at the Oscoda County Fairgrounds between Mio and Fairview Friday, August 10th beginning at 2:30pm and Saturday, August 11th at 9am. Events include professional lumberjack show, amateur lumberjack competition, craft show, vendors, horse pulls and more. Admission is free, but donations accepted.
