Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Tawas Band Bazaar

November 17th, 2018 at Tawas Area High School. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 44th Annual Tawas Band Bazaar and Craft Show. Over 100 Vendor tables. No admission fee. Freshly baked apple dumplings for sale or buy frozen to take home for later. 50/50 raffles every hour. Live music. Everything home made or hand crafted.

Snowmobile Safety Class

From 9:30AM to 3:30PM

The AuSable Valley Tralriders is putting on a Snowmobile Safety Class Sunday October 14, 2018 from 9:30am-3:30pm. Class is designed for youth 12-16yrs old, and is open to all. There is NO charge for the class.

Ox Roast Dinner

From 11:00AM to 2:00PM

St. John Lutheran Church will hold their annual Ox Roast Dinner Sunday, October 14th, 11am-2pm, at the Church, 206 North Court Street in AuGres. Cost is $10 for adults, children 5-12 $5, under five free, take outs available and include roast beef, potatoes, gravy, squash, coleslaw, rolls, beverage and dessert. Oscoda Red Cross Blood Drive

Sunrise Side Lifelong Learning Trip

Sunrise Side Lifelong Learning will host a trip to see the Tawas Bay Players production of "Bye Bye Birdie" Sunday, October 14th 1:45-6pm, at the theater on Newman Street in East Tawas follwed by dinner at G's. Quota's Trivia Night

Quota of Iosco County host it's 10th Annual Trivia Night Nov 3rd, 6 pm at Knights of Columbus, Newman St, East Tawas. Teams of eight confer and answer questions based on various subjects. Haunted Halloween Weekend

Harrisville State Park, U.S. 23, Harrisville will host their annual "Haunted Halloween Weekend" Friday, October 12th through Sunday, October 14th. Children's games, site decorating contest, trick or treating for campground guests, haunted hayride and spooky haunted trail. All events are free but a recreation passport is required to enter the park.
