Lake State Railway will be bringing a five car "Santa Train" to the Standish Depot, at M-61 & U.S. 23, Saturday, December 1st from 8:30-10:30am. Kids will be able to climb aboard and visit with Santa, Mrs. Santa and the elves! Light refreshments available. And please bring a new unwrapped toy for Christmas for Kids in Arenac County. Ogemaw Heights High School will host a Christmas Bazaar Saturday, December 1st from 9am-3pm, at the school on M-33. Everyone is welcome to visit the vendors for their Christmas gifts.
"Frosty's Festival Of Gifts" Annual Christmas Bazaar will be held Saturday, December 1st, 10am-1pm, at New Life Lutheran Church, 25 East Kirche In The Woods, Spruce. Baked goods, pantry items, handcrafted and wood crafted items, Rada Cutlery, fresh green floral arrangements, sauerkraut and more. "Christmas At The Lighthouse" will be held Saturday, December 1st, 11am-4pm, at the Tawas Point Lighthouse in East Tawas. The lighthouse will be decked out for tours as well as the lantern room at the top of the tower. Donations will be accepted and a Michigan State Parks Recreation Passport is required for entry to the park.

The Iosco County Historical Society's 22nd Annual Christmas Home Tour will be held Saturday, December 1st, 11am-4pm. The tour starts at the museum on Bay Street in East Tawas with refreshments and Christmas Music by Arpegio. The tour of Tawas Area homes follows. "Pet Photos with Santa" will be held Saturday, December 1st, 1-4pm, at the Arenac County Fairgrounds, just off M-61 in Standish. Cost is $5 for a 4x6 photo with proceeds to the 4-H Dog Club. All pets are welcome, but must be leashed or contained for safety.
