Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Sunrise Side Lifelong Learning

From 8:00AM to 5:30PM

Sunrise Side Lifelong Learning will host a trip to M-City, Automated Car development Testing Grounds and Kerrytown District in Ann Arbor Tuesday, June 26th, 8am-5:30pm. Oscoda Red Cross Blood Drive

From 12:00PM to 9:14PM

The American Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive Wednesday, June 1st, Noon-5:45pm, at the American Legion Hall on U.S. 23 in Oscoda. To make an appointment or for more information visit Red Cross Blood Dot Org.

Tawas Point Lighthouse Tours

From 12:00PM to 4:00PM

Tuesdays in June, July, August from noon to 4pm lighthouse tours will be given by members of the Friends of Tawas Point State Park and Lighthouse. Donations will be accepted and appreciated. Thurs - Mon scheduled aft tours are $5 adults, $2 children. The lighthouse is closed on Wed.

Kid's Day At Lumberman's Monument

Tuesday, June 26th is Kid's Day at the Lumberman's Monument at the corner of Monument and River Roads, Oscoda. At 1pm kids will learn about "The Amazing Atlatl, An Ancient Hunting Tool. Participants will have an opportunity to test their skills. Call 362-8961 for more information. 

Vegas at the V!

From 5:00PM to 2:00AM

The Oscoda VFW is hosting a casino night this Saturday, June 30th beginning at 5:00 p.m. We will have Blackjack, Roulette, The Cash Wheel, and Texas Hold 'em Poker. Food and adult beverages will be available for purchase. This event is open to the public - you don't have to be a VFW member to attend. Come on out and help us raise funds to support Veterans Programs as well as to make improvements to our building.
